Spring Equinox afternoon Yoga retreat.
When: Sunday 15th September: 2pm - 5pm.
Where: East Coburg Community Centre
What: Spring is a time for new beginnings and the spring equinox is also about exploring balance. Join Rachael for an afternoon of meditation, yoga, reflection and ritual around these themes.
Who: adults of all ages, genders and backgrounds are welcome. A basic level of fitness will allow you to participate in all offerings.
Cost: This retreat is offered on a sliding scale donation based. Please give what you can to support Rachael the facilitator and NECCHI. Suggested contributions: Employed / comfortable $50-$60, Unemployed / low income $20-$40, really struggling at the moment but would love to come – give what you can.

About Rachael

The Spring equinox afternoon retreat is facilitated by Rachael (She/her), yoga and meditation facilitator and therapist.

Rachael is an experienced yoga instructor and group facilitator, She currently teaches 3 regular classes through NECCHI, has previously run women's circles in the local community and has also facilitated a number of weekend retreats over the years.

Saturday Afternoon Retreat:  Hosted By Rachael Millsom(she/her).  Rachael is an experienced yoga instructor and group facilitator, She currently teaches 3 regular classes through NECCHI, has previously run women's circles in the local community and has also facilitated a number of weekend retreats over the years.  All offerings will be invitational, that means if any part of the afternoon is not working for you (e.g. movement or sharing) you can make the choice to pass or sit out of that activity / practice.

 

When: Saturday 22nd June form 2pm - 5pm

Where: Newlands - Lounge room

Who: Adults of all ages, genders and backgrounds are welcome.  A basic level of fitness will allow you to participate in all offerings.

Cost: $50 / $37 conc

During our time together we will:

*meet and connect with other locals over tea and a snack, 

*take some time to connect with others as well as to listen to what is within you.

*breathe: together we will learn / practice some breathing exercises that will support grounding and connection

*move our bodies in a yoga practice.  Rachael will guide a flow class with options for where to take the practice 

*rest together and be guided through some restorative shapes followed by a yoga nidra inspired relaxation

*Journal time (please bring paper and pen)

*reconnect and share and prepare to head back into our lives.

Following on from running a wonderful Retreat in February 2022 and February 2023,  I am once again collaborating with Emily Hayes, a community singing leader on the Restore Retreat.  

​

Emily and Rachael are excited to be coming together again in February 2024 to share their love of song, movement and beautiful environments in a therapeutic group space.  Over the weekend Emily and Rachael will facilitate group process and sharing, singing, gentle movement, yoga and relaxation.   There will also be time for quiet reflection and wanderings on the property in the beautiful Cottles Bridge countryside, only 50 minutes from Melbourne.

The cost for the weekend is $450 per person and includes camping accommodation, all meals and facilitation.  You are welcome to arrive  from 4pm on Friday 23th February  and we will finish up by 3pm on Sunday 25th.  

 

The weekend will be held at Bespoke Yoga - https://www.bespoke-yoga.org/ where we will have access to a beautiful yoga studio, the house (including bathroom, shower and kitchen facilities), and grounds which include two dams and plenty of natural outdoor space.

Staying the night:  included accommodation includes camping on site in a tent or van.  All food will be vegetarian with all it helping and self surfing buffet breakfasts and lunches. Catered cooked dinners and tea and coffee available all day.
